The well-known Ferrari F40 fixed up by Gas Monkey Garage made its way across the block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2014 over the weekend.
Featured on the Fast N’ Loud television series, this F40 has gone under extensive modifications in order to become one of the most unique Ferraris on the roads today. It was a given that the all-black F40 would be a hit at the auction, but nobody expected that none other than Mr. October himself, Reggie Jackson would have bought the Gas Monkey Garage F40. Jackson purchased the car for $742,500, an excellent amount for such a gorgeous vehicle.
Now, it shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise to us that Jackson purchased the F40. Not only is he a fan of the duPont REGISTRY magazine, he is also a fan of the Ferrari F40. Found below is a June 1996 issue of our magazine with both a Ferrari F40 and Jackson’s signature gracing the cover.
This issue’s cover was for a Ferrari F40 that Jackson, soon after publication, Â sold through the magazine. The car he was selling was also previously owned by another baseball superstar, Ken Griffey Jr.
