According to an article released today on Ferrari.com, Ferrari was named the world’s most powerful brand. The Italian automaker’s title was given by Brand Finance, who released a new brand strength index today. And this news comes on a perfect day, as Feb. 18 is the birthday of Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the company.

Ferrari was chose due to the company’s fame, customer loyalty and the quality of human resources. CEO of Brand Finance, David Haigh, said in an article on News.com.au that Ferrari’s logo is “instantly recognizable the world over, even where paved roads have yet to reach.”
“I am pleased and proud of this recognition, which we have been given for the second consecutive time,” said Luca di Montezemolo (pictured above), in the article by Ferrari. “I am particularly pleased the announcement was made today, as we remember the anniversary of the birth of our Founder and just as we are approving at the end of our Board Meeting this afternoon, record financial results for 2013, and great efforts in terms of technological investment.”
