Ferrari is holding off on debuting the 488 GTB to the world until the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show, but 800 clients had a chance to preview the car in person. On Feb. 19, the clients were invited to Maranello to see Ferrari‘s latest creation first hand, as the video above, uploaded by Ferrari Feb. 20, describes.
The event took place in Ferrari’s new Gestione Sportiva (GES) building, which will be inaugurated in the near future. Guests were also invited to see the assembly line where the 488 GTB’s V8 is created. After the assembly line visit, the car was finally unveiled to the guests.
The Ferrari 488 GTB houses a 3.8-liter V8 that delivers 660 hp and 506 lb-ft of torque, thanks to turbocharging. Guests at the event who have become attached to the speed of the F12berlinetta were delighted to findout that the 488 GTB will lap the Fiorano test track in 1:23, the same time as the F12.
This car is a fantastic addition to the Ferrari family and we can’t wait to see it in person. As always, be sure to stay with us for more Ferrari 488 GTB news as it is released.
