The F12berlinetta has been Ferrari’s top road car for some time, not counting the LaFerrari hypercar, but with the beginning of the Geneva International Motor Show March 3, its place has been taken by the 488 GTB.
Of course, not everyone was able to travel to Switzerland to attend the event and see this new prancing horse’s unveiling, but Ferrari has stepped in to make sure everyone gets to experience a taste of the event’s intensity.
A video uploaded to YouTube by Ferrari.com today takes us right past the ropes separating the cloaked 488 from the massive crowd, where two 488s, one in silver, one red, were introduced to the world.

So just how powerful is the 488 GTB? Thanks to the addition of a turbocharger, its 3.9-liter V8 is capable of producing 660 hp and 560 lb-ft. When compared to the F12berlinetta‘s V12, the engine is 2.4 liters smaller and creates 71 hp less, but torque is increased to 52 lb-ft in the 488.
