In a Nov. 20 post, we introduced a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM that was going across the block at RM Auctions’ “Art of the Automobile.” It was estimated to receive a winning bid of $12-15 million, a respectable amount for such an iconic car.
The auction has since taken place, and the results are in. The Ferrari 250 LM went for $14.3 million, an amount right in the estimated window for a winning bid. While it did not beat the $52 million 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, it did beat out the previous auction price for a 250 LM, which was $6.9 million.
