My name is Taylor Smith I am a Nashville based photographer and music video director. This shoot popped up out of nowhere and we just ran with it. My friend had his Audi R8 downtown one night and we began discussing possible locations to shoot. I have always been a firm believer that locations are key to getting a great image no matter what the subject might be. We drove around late that night scoping out different spots and taking tests shots using our iphones. The conclusion I came to was that we were going to need a handful of photo strobes to show more detail on the car due to the lack of natural light. The next day I gathered the gear we needed and jumped right into it.
Now things get interesting! I arrived to set the next day and began placing lights. Shot around 20 photos then the generator went out on us. On Easter sunday at 11pm its impossible to find a replacement. A location that had no natural light was to difficult to work in. These things happen. Luckily I had a back up location less than a mile down the street that we moved to. Plenty of natural light and honestly better looking backgrounds. Sometimes things go wrong but you have to roll with it and keep going! I hope everyone enjoys the images!
