The Fast and Furious series is an incredibly successful automotive movie series whether you love them or not. Each movie has a cast of well-known actors, as well as some of the quickest cars on the streets. One of the stars that goes hand-in-hand with the movies is Paul Walker, the star of franchise. While you may see him driving and drool over the cars in the movies, he is the same way in real life (without the illegal actions).
In an interview with AskMen.com, he talked about how his grandfather was a race car driver and how cars were a hobby that turned into a real business. He enjoys buying and selling these cars to the point where he actually has a dealer’s license.
His love for everything automotive doesn’t just limit him to buying and selling, he also races them as well. He currently competes in the Redline Time Attack racing series where he races his Supercharged BMW M3 E93 for AE Performance.
In his interview with AskMen, Walker went over some of his favorite cars in his collection. While he may have 20 to 30 cars in his possession at a time, he still knows which ones are closest to his heart. His favorites include:
Ford Escort Cosworth
BMW ’74 2002 Touring
He also has a love for everything JDM (Japanese Domestic Market). He says that “nobody does it better than the Japanese.” His love for Japanese cars can be seen in his full collection where you find many Skylines and GTR’s.
Paul Walker is an actor, but a true automotive enthusiast at heart, making his starring role in the Fast and Furious movies fitting. His career shows us that you can take two things you truly love and combine them into one successful career. For Walker it was acting and cars.
