Rare and Pristine 2015 McLaren P1 GTR For Sale

When unveiled, the McLaren P1 GTR was touted as a highly specialized track-focused model that was only available to existing owners of the street-legal P1 through an invitation from the factory. Because of this exclusivity, the P1 GTR is a highly sought-after hypercar.

Not only is the P1 GTR exclusive, but it’s insanely impressive. Its 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine produces an astonishing 986 horsepower that rises up to 1045 with the revised engine mapping and the F1 ERS-style power boost system. When pressed for urgency, the P1 GTR can run from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds. For aerodynamic features, there is the 3.2-inch wider track, the larger fixed hydraulically actuated wing, and the larger front splitter and carbon fiber underside. Altogether, these components create 10% more downforce when compared to the base model. Other notable inclusions are the front axle nose lift for loading and going over bumps, the onboard jacking system, and Vlog equipment for video recording from the onboard cameras.

Right now, a pristine example of the P1 GTR is up for sale through Aston Martin Newcastle in the UK. This particular P1 GTR was delivered on September 8, 2015, and was driven for 20 laps at Dunsfold Aerodrome before undergoing a final inspection at the Woking factory. Shortly after, in October 2015, McLaren’s test driver Chris Godwin took this P1 GTR around Brands Hatch for a few laps during a factory demo and was subsequently returned to the factory to be serviced

It wasn’t until December 1, 2015, that the current and only owner of this P1 GTR took delivery of the hypercar from the McLaren dealership located in Manchester, UK. During its time with its owner, the P1 GTR has been sparsely used for static displays. For one special outing, this P1 GTR was used to raise £50k for charity by having visitors donate £1000 for the privilege of being taken out for 3 laps around Croft Circuit.

In total, just 400 miles have been covered by this McLaren P1 GTR, allowing it to remain in immaculate condition. Coming with it are two sets of wheels and tires, including a set of slicks and a set of wet tires so that all conditions can be enjoyed

When purchased, the car will be sent for a full McLaren Service, and there is not only the option of converting to street-legal use by Paul Lanzante but there is a recently announced battery pack upgrade that can be fitted to give even more horsepower for an additional cost.
