The 2016 Mercedes-Benz S65 Sedan is the pinnacle of opulence and performance. Mercedes-Benz has really outdone themselves this year.
They have taken what is known as the world standard in luxury and made it lighter, fancier, faster and better sounding. The handcrafted 6.0-liter AMG twin turbo V12 produces an astonishing 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough torque to pull a house down, or launch the S65 AMG from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
The AMG S65 Sedan weighs in at a stout 4,969 pounds and puts power down to the rear wheels using a seven-speed AMG speedshift plus
transmission. The fuel economy is rated at 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. Standard performance options include AMG high-performance compound brakes, lithium-ion battery, AMG adaptive sport suspension, ESP curve dynamic assist and an AMG sport exhaust. AMG carbon-ceramic brakes are also available as an option.
Standard safety features found on the AMG S65 include active blind spot assist, active lane keeping, night view assist plus, Parktronic with active parking assist, 11-way airbag protection and smart key technology. The options found on the interior are heated 12-way power front seats with memory; active multicontour front and rear seats; massage, heated and ventilated front and rear seats; cabin-air purification system; dual 12.3-inch high-resolution screens; head-up display; Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system; Bluetooth audio streaming; HD radio and rear seat entertainment. Optional features for the interior include a splitview front-seat entertainment system and a refrigerator box for the rear cabin.
