According to the RM Auctions website, James Hunt’s Hesketh 308 will cross the block during the May 10 auction at the Monaco Historic GP.
The 485 hp Hesketh 308 is estimated to have a winning bid anywhere from $550,000-900,000. Being the first Hesketh racing car ever, it wasn’t wildly successful overall, but had some memorable moments including Hunt’s 150 mph pass on Ronnie Peterson’s Lotus at Woodcote Corner at Silverstone 1975.
