This year we kicked it off big with the premier Supercar Showcase presented by duPont REGISTRY. We brought our best of the best in luxury, off-road and exotics and partnered with Barrett-Jackson to display the finest consignments of their annual Palm Beach show from April 17-19. Situated at a crossroads of the South Florida Fairgrounds, it was a great location to interact with the public.
First to arrive at the tent was a Mercedes-Benz Airstream Interstate from North Trail RV. Based on the versatile Sprinter platform, it offers all the amenities of home along with the ability to cruise at over 20 mpg. Having a mobile office with ice cold A/C distracted us from the balmy weather.
Next in was a 2013 Ferrari 458 Italia from Ferrari Palm Beach. Finished in classic Rosso Corsa, it was one of the few mid-engine cars at the auction. Starwood Motors brought a wild four door Rubicon with a laundry list of enhancements. Their proprietary Kevlar was finished in matte black and provided the perfect contrast to the auxiliary LED lighting. TeraFlex suspension and a Warn winch were ready for the trails, and Alpine handled the entertainment. Braman Motors showcased the ultimate in luxury with their 2015 White Rolls-Royce Wraith. It was outfitted with amazing features, such as the Starlight Headliner and suicide doors that close with the touch of a button.
Terradyne Armored Vehicles drove a civilian version of their GURKHA RPV all the way from Ontario. Some of you may remember the F5 version of this vehicle, which Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson drove in Fast Five. Based on a Ford F450 commercial chassis, this leviathan is armored with thick plate steel and capable of stopping 7.62mm (30 cal) rifle rounds.
Lamborghini Palm Beach brought a very special 2015 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster finished in “Blu Cepheus” with $100,000 in options, including every carbon fiber trim and accent. It was nice to see an Aventador outside of the normal color spectrum.

We would also like to take a moment to thank our friends over at Ronald McDonald House. They are auctioning off a classic 1967 Sting Ray and the 2015 Corvette Z06 with the Z07 aero package pictured below. Please help support this cause by visiting their website at www.rmhc-car.com. A Z06 is always an attention-getter, so we used a few screaming blasts of the exhaust to draw in the crowds.
Weather instability is a constant in South Florida, and we planned accordingly. Friday started off on the sunny side, but the situation deteriorated quickly. A spring monsoon sent spectators running to our tent, and we made new friends waiting out the storm. Saturday was perfect, and the tent offered a front row seat to view cars waiting to cross the block. An hour or so later we would see them returning, with the hammer price written on the windshield. We don’t endorse games of chance, but betting on what a car sells for is entertaining to say the least.
Thank you to all of our clients and to Barrett-Jackson for another successful weekend in West Palm Beach. Come see us at Barrett-Jackson Reno, August 6-8, and stay tuned to Autofluence for more show updates.
