RM Auctions held their latest event in London and what an event it was. When the auction was all said and done, sales totaled over $23,970,000. The car that brought in the most cash money was the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ as it sold for $3,132,080. Only 12 of these cars were ever made and it actually won several raced back in its heyday.
Of course there were other amazing cars on the block as well. A 1930 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Testa Fissa Tourist Trophy race winner was sold for $1,252,832. One of James Bond’s cars was even sold, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible that was used in the movie ‘Goldfinger’ – it sold for $1,011,214. Also, Paul McCartney’s 1964 Aston Martin DB5 was also sold at $550,351.
