The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a force to be reckoned with, literally. It has been widely used in military operations since its creation in the 1970s and, to this day, is still one of the greatest aircrafts conceived or created.
Compared to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, however, this jet from the ’70s may be behind the times. To find out, Road & Track Editor-in-Chief Larry Webster and Alex Roy of /DRIVE wanted to see if the F-16 was faster off of the line than the Hellcat.

In a video uploaded to YouTube by /DRIVE today, the two take to Homestead Air Force Base in southern Florida for an epic race. Unfortunately, they were greeted with typical Florida rain. It may have given the jet quite an advantage, but it didn’t stop the race from happening.
