The Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats have long been regarded as “America’s ultimate performance car duo” and the 2016 models highlight that reputation with exclusive striping.
Twin full-length body stripes customized with a carbon-fiber finish top both Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats, creating a tailor-made look. In addition, Dodge released a complete palette to enhance the customizing power. Colors include everything from Bright White Clear Coat to Pitch Black Clear Coat and everything in between.
Dodge was set to suspend use of Plum Crazy in December 2015, but demand was so high that the car company decided to extend use of the color for another month. As stated by FCA:
“Since 1970, desire for this heritage hue continues to get stronger than ever – as the signature paint color is directly associated with high collectability and the famed “Mopar-or-no-car” legacy. Today, Dodge is offering Plum Crazy across the widest performance range of Challenger and Charger models ever.”
As always, both Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats feature a supercharged HEMI V8 engine pumping out 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque with a max speed of 204 mph.
The 2016 Hellcats feature interior upgrades like standard ultra-premium Laguna leather interior appointments and five years of SiriusXM Travel Link, among other new features.
2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat comes in at a cool $64,195 while the Challenger SRT Hellcat stands at $67,645.
