When the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was finally released, Hennessey was quick to pull the trigger on making it into their own Texas demon. In the video below, posted to YouTube Jan. 23 by hpedesign, Hennessy shows off just a little by putting their HPE700 twin-turbo Corvette Stingray on a dyno machine and opening it up.
However, you’ll notice at the end of the video that the supercar only produced 608.28 max hp from an HPE700 upgrade. This is because Hennessey only set the turbochargers to a low 7 psi and used 93 octane fuel, according to a Jan. 27 article from MotorAuthority. In other words, this teaser video is only a taste of the potential power of Hennessey’s Stingray upgrade. We look forward to seeing what they show us next.
Go to Hennessey’s website now to upgrade your Stingray. We encourage you to turn your speakers up and enjoy the video they’ve provided above – it sounds menacing.
