Car and Driver has dug up some dirt on the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette and we are here to provide you with a taste of what is to come.
First things first, GM wanted the brand new Corvette to be light and they worked hard to make sure every extra pound was shed. To do this they crafted the bulkhead, panels, and the floor of the base car out of carbon fiber. GM also the car’s base rails are now comprised of aluminum.
Secondly, Michelin Pilot Sports are the stock wheels on the C7.
It will feature a 7-speed transmission .
A 5.5-liter V8 that produces 400hp and 30+ highway mpg will be called the Stingray. It was rumored that the Stingray model would have a twin-turbo V6 but that has since been dismissed as false.
