On August 16, 1996, Tupac Shakur purchased the last vehicle he’d ever own before his tragic death less than a month later. He had purchased a black, fully loaded 1996 American Motors Hummer H1. Customized to the iconic rapper’s specifications, the H1 includes diamond plate bumpers, an external PA system, and a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 engine.
The title states Shakur is the original owner, and according to RR Auction, the responsible party for the sale of the vehicle, the new owner of the H1 will also receive “promotional cassettes for Michael Jackson’s Thriller and 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me.” RR Auction aptly titles the vehicle, “an incredible piece of hip-hop history that evokes the invincible spirit of one of the rap game’s true lyrical giants.”
