Our favorite drifting expert has traded urban asphalt for snow, and tires for Mattracks. In his latest video, uploaded to YouTube Jan. 20, Ken Block heads north to British Columbia to assault the slopes in a heavily modified Raptor. As an avid snowboarder, his intention was to create a stylish and completely practical way to get around the backcountry.
His team added a giant Whipple supercharger to the already potent 6.2L V8 engine and boosted it to the tune of 650 hp. The wheels have been swapped for Mattracks, which can easily spread the power across the powder. Double adjustable coil-over suspension with remote reservoirs were added to control the added weight of the tracks. Rigid Industries supplied the LED light bars, which are probably bright enough to melt the snow ahead. Because Mattracks have their own gear reduction, this powerful truck probably puts more power to the ground than any snow machine on the market.
