Grant Balfour, pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, showed up for a camping trip in a huge SportChassis P4XL truck in Port Charlotte, Fla., and was not afraid of making his presence known.
“It’s like a mini-semi,” Balfour told the Tampa Bay Times in a Feb. 19 article. “It’s pretty wild. It’s not something you see every day. It’s unique. I like it.”
The monstrous truck measures in at roughly 22 feet long, 8 feet wide and 11 feet tall. Powering the truck is a Cummins ISC engine that provides 350 hp and an astonishing 1050 lb-ft of torque.
“You can’t take it everywhere, but for the most part it’s been pretty good,” Balfour said in the article. “I’ve been surprised I can actually take it to the grocery story or places like that because of trying to park it, but it’s worked out all right.”
