Most automakers have a lineup of brand ambassadors that typically consists of celebrities and athletes. Their role as “brand ambassador” is to be the face of the brand and bring awareness to their products. So, naturally, these brands want to bring in celebrities or athletes that have a large following. For Maserati, they have just hired an athlete/celebrity that is a true legend in the world of soccer: David Beckham.
Paolo Tubito, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer, commented: “The Brand is moving forward, inaugurated a new Era. Maserati is driven to challenge the status quo being innovative by nature, powered by passion, and unique by design. The partnership with David is the embodiment of all these values.”
