March saw a bit of a different setting for our monthly duPont REGISTRY Cars and Coffee event. Rather than meeting at our headquarters, enthusiasts from around the state and the country gathered in downtown Saint Petersburg, Florida, on the campus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
Four blocks of USF St. Pete’s campus were filled by as many as 300 rare cars, classic cars, hot rods and exotics, as well as a special guest of honor from the upcoming Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Scheduled to take place March 28-30, the St. Petersburg Grand Prix became the first non-oval event in the Indy Racing League when it joined the IndyCar Series in 2005.
The lots were filling up long before the sun had risen, and as the day crept in, nearly four blocks of full parking lots brought a spectacular show to this up and coming city. Be sure to browse through the photos from this event below, and be sure to join us for our next event, back at the St. Petersburg headquarters, on April 18 from 7 – 9 am.
