2015 CTS-V Coupe Special Edition

While it’s never easy to admit, all good things must come to an end. The CTS-V coupe launched as a 2011 model and has been tearing up streets ever since. With the same 556 hp V8 shared with the sedan and wagon, they are some of the most powerful cars on the road.

The next generation V is undergoing final testing, and is set to raise the bar for performance sedans. Under the hood will be a version of the new Z06’s LT4 Supercharged V8. With at least 600 hp on tap, it will be a rocket ship. Sadly, Cadillac has no plans to produce the next-gen V in coupe or wagon forms. What better way to say goodbye than a special edition?

Five hundred of the final coupes will feature unique black grilles, graphite wheels and red brake calipers, according to a press release issued by Cadillac today. This package will be available with the V’s most popular colors: Crystal White, Black Diamond and Phantom Gray. Inside will feature ebony leather interior surfaces with red contrast stitching. Midnight Sapele wood accents the dash and door panels, while microfiber covers the shifter and steering wheel. Recaro seats and billet pedals round out the package.

Cadillac’s Chief Marketing officer Uwe Ellinghaus did hint at the next generation in the press release. “The special edition is a stepping stone to the next-generation V-Series, which will move to the next level with more dynamic design and technical sophistication,” he said.

Priced at $72,195, this package combines the most expensive options available into a package that saves over $2k off the sticker price. These 500 cars will be instant collectibles and, thanks to Mr. Ellinghaus, we are excited to see what’s coming next.
