The recently revealed Rembrandt Bugatti Legend is completely sold out after its unveiling at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show. This news comes from a March 10 press release from the French automaker. The cars were sold to customers in the Middle East and the US at €2.18 million, approx. $3,017,992 USD.

For those who are unaware, the Rembrandt Bugatti Legend model honors Rembrandt Bugatti, artist and brother of Ettore Bugatti, founder of the company. Rembrandt was known for being an exceptional sculptor, and his dancing elephant decorated the radiator of the Bugatti Type 41 Royale. Rembrandt became famous mostly for his animal sculptures, which were primarily cast in bronze and can now be seen in several collections and museums around the world.

The Rembrandt Bugatti Legends Edition is, like all of the Legends Editions, based on the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. Its engine is an 8-liter W16 that rockets the car from 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds.

While the mechanical aspects of the Rembrandt Bugatti may mirror a Grand Sport Vitesse, it is a completely different car on the outside. The body of the car features a bronze-colored clear-coated carbon, done in recognition of Rembrandt’s bronze sculptures. The wheels are finished in “Firefinch” and light “Noix,” which are both shades of brown. The bronze finish of the body and brown wheel colors combine to create an elegant appearance.

Inside, the Rembrandt Bugatti’s elegant appearance continues. The upholstery of the car is done in light brown “Cognac,” adding to the warm brown-colored scheme of the car. The colors “Cognac” and “Coffee” can be found on the car’s door trim. The rear center box between the seats holds a notable homage to Rembrandt, where his elephant hood ornament can be found. Cased in bronze, this adornment is a piece of art in itself. Platinum accents are also found throughout the interior.

The Rembrandt Bugatti is a true piece of art dedicated to a true artist. It’s no wonder they all sold so quickly.
