As we described back in April, the latest in Bugatti’s Legends Edition lineup is the “Black Bess,” named after the Bugatti Type 18 French aviation pioneer Roland Garros owned. Like the new Veyron, his Type 18 was called “Black Bess.”
On June 6, Bugatti uploaded a magnificent video to YouTube that centers around the Black Bess Veyron. Not only does it have a great narrative, it also features the black and gold Veyron itself. In the video, you can see and hear the Veyron take on what looks to be a French mountainside.

According to the video’s description, Garros’ original Type 18 “Black Bess” was the “first super sportscar in automotive history and one of the fastest road cars at its time.” This statement makes the blisteringly fast “Black Bess” Veyron a perfect way to pay tribute.
