BMW’s M division has been one of the leading innovators of innovations in the world of motosports, and will commemorate this achievement with another year as the “Official Car of MotoGP,” according to a letter to the press from Frank van Meel, President of BMW M Division, Feb. 13.
This year marks the 17th season and with BMW M providing pace cars for the motorcycle races, which are held throughout the year and around the world. But what sets this year apart as particularly important for BMW M is the introduction of a water injection system. Designed to reduce fuel consumption and increase performance in a combustion engine, this water injection system will make its premier in the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car for 2015.
