BMW unchained a 2014 M5 with a Competition Package in a video on their YouTube channel yesterday, which can be seen above.
For those who are not familiar with the Competition Package, it is made for those who need a little more ‘kick’ out of their M5. With this package, the car’s already potent TwinPower eight-cylinder engine has it’s output increased to 575 hp from 560 hp. This is the result of raised boost pressure in the upper range of revs.

The exhaust system is also modified with this package, creating an even more visceral exhaust note. Optimum steering is ensured with the Competition Package’s specially designed suspension that has been lowered by 10 mm.
On the outside, the package adds 20″ M Double-spoke 601 M light alloy wheels in bi-color and black chrome finish to the Sport exhaust system.
So if a standard 2014 BMW M5 just doesn’t cut it for you, be sure to inquire about the Competition Package at your local BMW dealer.
