2013 Buyer’s Guide: ALPINA B7 BITURBO

Incorporating the upgrades BMW made to its 2013 7-Series flagship, ALPINA has rushed a new third generation BMW Alpina B7 into the line-up. In its inimitable way, ALPINA has taken the Seven’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, added its pixie dust and upped the horsepower to 540-that’s 40 more than the 2012 version. Max torque also spirals skywards by 22 lb-ft to 538. Like all new Sevens, this B7 gets a new eight-speed automatic which helps fire the ALPINA off the line to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed rises by 19 mph to 194 mph. Big 21-inch alloys, and that gorgeous ALPINA metallic blue paint distinguish this special order-only luxury rocketship.
