Today in a press release, Bentley released pictures of their EXP 10 Speed 6 concept that will be unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show. The new coupe, a combination of sculpted muscular body work and sharp lines is trimmer than the Continental GT and an expression of Bentley’s exclusive design direction of the future. With copper and aluminum throughout the cabin, the new concept hints to the hybrid drivetrain of the car in a visual sense, alluding to the new powertrain that will be featured in an aesthetic sense.
In line with the metal trim, the interior is upholstered in light brown leather, quilted in the door panels and carefully shaped leather over swoops from dash to door to center console. It combines the classic British luxury expected of Bentley, with the unmistakably modern path the brand seems to be following.
Retaining the double headlamps of the Continental and the iconic matrix grille, the new coupe has taken design inspiration from aircraft fuselages and high-speed flight and their heritage. The result is what Bentley calls “the potential Bentley sports car – a bold vision for a brand with a bold future.”
Looking rather low-slung and lightweight, this new concept diverges from past Bentleys that seem hewn from the Cliffs of Dover. It looks fast, and we’ll be passing on the details as quickly as they are revealed.
