The upcoming movie “Ender’s Game” is set in a futuristic world being ravaged by alien way, but there are some beacons of hope in this fictional movie: Ender Wiggin (protagonist) and the Audi fleet shuttle quattro.
The Audi Design Team developed the fleet shuttle quattro as an entirely virtual vehicle, and this is the first time that Audi has actually unveiled a purely virtual model in a film. Audi teamed up with director Gavin Hood and the production team to use the latest technology to implement the virtual sports car into the movie. And it looks like the car will be a perfect fit for the movie, as the technologically advanced world of “Ender’s Game” is perfect reflected in the styling and design of the Audi fleet shuttle quattro.
“Designing the Audi fleet shuttle quattro was similar to customizing a tailor-made suit. We adapted it to the requirements of the world in ‘Ender’s Game’ and at the same time had to take care to preserve our brand values,” said Frank Rimili, chief designer for the film project. “We were ultimately able to perfectly project our design philosophy into the fictional world of the movie.” Linda McDonough, a producer of “Ender’s Game,” added, “The Audi brand is already very forward thinking which made their inclusion in our film an organic fit.”
Obviously we won’t be seeing this concept car on the road in the near future, but you will be able to check it out in “Ender’s Game” when it releases on October 24. What is your favorite futuristic concept car? The Minority Report Lexus? This Audi? Leave it in the comments below!
