At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi will be unveiling their fastest and most expensive model yet, the Audi Sport Quattro Hybrid. If you recall, the original Audi Quattro was a road and rally car produced in the 80’s.
Differentiating itself from it’s predecessor, the new Audi Sport Quattro Hybrid makes use of a hybrid powertrain. Auto Express reports that this supercar hybrid will be powered by the same 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 found in the RS6 and RS7, plus an electric motor. If this happens to be the case, expect an output of 600+ horsepower. And of course, all of this power will be sent to all four wheels, hence the name “Quattro.” This new hybrid from Audi will be not only faster than the Audi R8 for sale but assuredly more expensive.
While we may have to wait until next month to see the physical concept, we can enjoy these leaked sketches for now. In them we see a low-profile and wide car with a hatchback like the original Quattro. What do you think of the design? Leave your comments below.
Be sure to check back next month for even more coverage on the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
