Today, Audi issued a press release announcing that they will be producing 300 units of the Audi A5 DTM Champion model. The model will be in celebration of Mike “Rocky” Rockenfeller’s 1st place victory during the 2013 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM, German Touring Car Masters) season, where he secured his title with races to spare. The vehicle package will cost around $2600 and will include many DTM extras.
The accessories included in the DTM package create the essence of individuality for the owner of the A5. DTM badges on the fenders, side sills and door sills represent the sport-filled spirit alongside a painted rear fin and aluminum colored mirrors. The track nature of the vehicle is taken further with 20-inch aluminum wheels that boast a 5 V-spoke design and create a powerful emotion in the way admirers see you.
This model will also see a variety of engine variants. Four different variants are offered: a 2.0-Liter TDI quattro with 177 hp, 2.0-Liter TFSI quattro with 225 hp, a 3.0-Liter TDI quattro with 254 hp or a 3.0-Liter TFSI quattro with 272 hp. Color options are available in three choices: Glacier White, Misano Red and Daytona Grey.
With the limited production of this dynamic sports car, it will surely be unavailable very quickly. To receive such an exclusive package for such a low price is more than a bargain and won’t last long. The vehicle will be available on Oct. 21; keep up with your local Audi dealer to either pre-order your A5 DTM Champion or to be the first to take it for a test drive.
