Audi’s marketing manager, Benjamin Holle, has revealed that the Audi A3 Cabriolet is expected to be released at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor show this month, announcing it to be in a two door convertible Sportback style, much like we expect the topless S3 to be. Not a huge surprise after the successful release of the A3 Hatch and Sportback, Audi says they’ve designed their new Cabriolet to be “elegant and versatile,” and claim that it’s top-of-class for compact four seat convertibles.
The Cabriolet has been gifted with a new lightweight design and new available engines, ranging from a 1.4-Liter; 1.6-Liter Petrol, the same style as the Veyron’s W16; a 1.8-Liter engine; or an available 2.0-Liter diesel. New engines crossed with assistance systems made for high performance are made possible through LTE technology, creating an efficient recipe for excitement. We look forward to seeing it at the Frankfurt Motor Show, if you won’t be making it to the show than watch for it on www.audimedia.tv, where Audi will be offering live streaming in English.
