I’ve been seeing a lot of shooting brake concepts on the interwebs lately, and its a trend that I couldn’t be happier with. Just that little extra in the back gets me more excited that a normal coupe. It may be because its different or I’m just getting older and the though of more space excites me, but either way I love seeing these.
The latest shooting brake to hit the internet is the Bertone Jet 2+2, a one-off Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake. Bertone created this one-off to celebrate Aston Martin’s 100th anniversary, and their 60th anniversary of working together with Aston Martin.
Bertone bent the C-pillars forwards and connected them to the wheel arches to create a perception of movement even when the car is stationary. They also added a sharply raked tailgate and accentuated it with a full-length LED light strip.
On the inside of the 2+2, there are four individual seats and added headroom for the rear passengers. If you want the extra trunk space that shooting brakes are known for, you can fold the rear seats and cover them with a sliding cover in order to create a sizable trunk space.
Expect to see the Bertone Jet 2+2 in March at Geneva!
