The Ariel Nomad was unveiled Jan. 6 digitally, and made its first in-person debut at the Jan. 8-11 Autosport International 2015, hosted at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK. A 2.4 K24 Honda 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine propels this 1,477 pound off-road monster with 238 hp and 221 lb-ft, giving it a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 125 mph.
Imagine taking that off the top of a sand dune.

“Sharing that Atom thought process, the Atom philosophy and some proven Atom components the Nomad opens up a whole new dimension to having fun on four wheels,” states the marque’s website. “Where the Atom is to road and track, the Nomad is to road and off it.”
A slew of photos posted on Ariel’s website and Facebook page show us the new off-road powerhouse, and two separate videos uploaded to Ariel Motor Compnay Ltd.’s YouTube page Jan. 6 take the Nomad through a few gravel rally stages.
