Based on the 2014 Porsche Cayman S, Studiotorino—the firm that brought us the RK Spider and the RK Coupe—just announced the Moncenisio. Interesting name for a sports coupe, but it is named after the Alpine Pass of the Piedmonte region, famous for its gorgeous landscape and the Susa-Moncenisio race.
The new two-seater sports coupe will carry all of the same mechanicals as the Cayman S, with a body designed by Daniele Gaglione, a renowned car designer. With 325 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque, the Moncenisio will be heavily revised on both the exterior and interior
This new Porsche will feature carbon fiber bumpers, a carbon fiber tailgate and carbon fiber quarter panels with hard line air intakes. The Moncenisio eliminates the Cayman’s rear side windows, which give the coupe a sleek look. The design phase of the Moncenisio began with the removal of the two rear wings. An extreme aerodynamic kit was also added, which includes a new front bumper and a new sidewall with new side air intakes. It also sports a new tailgate and bumper. The model is also equipped with LED daytime running lights, an aluminum fuel tank lid and 20-inch forged aluminum wheels. So will StudioTorino Moncenisio undergo any performance alterations? It’s still unknown, but if not, it’s not the worst thing in the world because it will still feature a 3.4-liter engine.
