There’s nothing quite like the feeling of taking off on the open road with a long distance ahead of you, and for Porsche fan Ingo Vandenberghe, his 1,000 km trip of a lifetime has just begun.
On Jan. 26, Porsche announced that they had reached the digital milestone of 10 million fans on their Facebook page, and in honor of this achievement, they were offering one fan the chance to take a 10 million decimeter, or 1,000 km, road trip in the 918 Spyder. On Feb. 22, they announced the winner as Ingo Vandenberghe, and on April 27, his journey began.
A post to Porsche’s Facebook page April 28 showed a few pictures from the first day of Vandenberghe’s trip, which is traveling through the United Kingdom. He won this adventure through correctly guessing the location of a Google Street View shot of Porsche’s planned location for the road trip.
