If you’re ready, come and get it, because Mercedes-Benz has announced the price for its 2014 C63 AMG 507 Edition. Not only can it rocket from zero-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, but it also generates 507 horsepower. With more robust brakes, this Mercedes-Benz will start at $70,000 for the sedan and $72,500 for the coupe.
The 507 Edition has a 6.2-liter V8 engine and borrows forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft from the SLS AMG GT supercar. It’s top speed is electronically limited to 174 mph and wears distinct 19-inch forged alloy wheels.
Maximum torque is capped at 450 lb-ft and arrives at 5200 rpm. Inspired, the Edition 507 exceeds the standard C63’s 451 horsepower and also that of every other vehicle in this class. The mill is matched to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The chassis is upgraded as well, with a composite braking system that employs red-finished calipers—six-piston up front and four-piston in the rear—clamping down onto 14.2-inch discs at all four corners.
The 507 Edition is available in either black or white luxurious leather and is different from other C63 AMG models by high-gloss black piano lacquer trim, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with a 12-o’clock marking, red instrument panel trim and 507 Edition badging. Can you say beautiful?
