Maserati is coming after the competition with some serious ambition, as the Italian marque plans to expand to 500 dealers worldwide by mid-2016, according to a June 26 article from Yahoo Finance.
The luxury automaker, owned by Italian-American auto group Fiat Chrysler, also has a sales goal of 50,000 by 2015, a strikingly large increase over 2013’s total of 15,400. Yet these massive expansions are more than warranted; according to the article, Maserati CEO Harald Wester stated that demand for their luxury sedans has been growing rapidly.

They expect to sell as many cars in the first six months of 2014 as it did in the entirety of 2013, as the two-door Quattroporte coupe and Ghibli have become increasingly popular among affluent consumers.
