Only a few years ago, Koenigsegg took a leave of absence from the United States, disappointing American enthusiasts and making it even more challenging to own one. But beginning today, according to a press release issued this morning, Koenigsegg will officially be returning to the States with a partnership between the hypercar manufacturer and Manhattan Motorcars in New York City.
“We are truly delighted by the opportunity to work with such a passionate and well respected dealer like Manhattan Motorcars. We will do our utmost to support Manhattan Motorcars in the best possible way and are looking forward to a fruitful long-term relationship,” said Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO and founder of Koenigsegg Automotive, in the press release.
Koenigsegg chose Manhattan Motorcars due to their great success and leading sales in the past. Since 1995, Manhattan Motocars has broken records with unmatchable service that has clearly been noted by manufacturers worldwide.
“I can’t tell you how excited myself and my team are to be representing such an exciting and innovative automotive brand and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Christian and the team at Koenigsegg and putting these gorgeous cars on the road,” said Brian Miller, President and founder of Manhattan Motorcars, in the press release.
The first appearance the two companies will make with each other will be at the March 18 New York International Auto Show with the 2014 Agera R on display, If you don’t have your tickets already, than be sure to get them by clicking here.
Brian Miller will also be available for comments about the new partnership at the Geneva International Motorshow at the Koenigsegg stand between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. CET on March 5.
