With a 5.0 liter V8 boasting twin turbos and creating 1,140 hp, there’s absolutely no question about whether the Koenigsegg Agera R is capable of reaching some insane speeds. But how often do you get the chance to sit inside of one as it’s tearing down the roads?
While driving to a test track, a few of the minds behind GTBOARD.com found themselves in an Agera R with an open stretch of Germany’s notorious Autobahn highway in front of them. With a camera perched between the driver’s seat and passenger’s seat, they recorded their trip in full, including a few stretches where they really let the engine open up. The video of their trip was uploaded to YouTube Dec. 14, and describes them reaching speeds of more than 215 mph.

Do bear in mind, there are stretches of the Autobahn where a speed limit is enforced; German-Way.com describes how there are limits of between 68 and 75 mph in certain locations, with a suggested maximum speed of 80 mph along the rest of the road. It is always advisable to only reach excessive speeds under professional supervision and in controlled circumstances, but if you’re unable to set those up, watch the video above and get a feel for what it’s like to fly past other cars in a supercar unlike many others.
