Jaguar is sending their 2014 Jaguar XJR to the UK for the first time and will be unveiled at the MotorExpo 2013. Lately, Jaguar has been making leaps and bounds in their design and development departments. They have come out with the XKR-S GT and the new F-Type which replaced the timeless E-Type from the 1960’s. The past couple decades have not been so good for the company because of quality and craftsmanship issues, but it seems that they are turning over a new leaf. The XJR is entering a very competitive market with other car companies across the world. The XJR will have to compete with the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, Audi A7, and the Mercedes CLS.
I feel that when it comes to class, Jaguar has written the book. Jaguar has created several masterpieces that have truly revolutionized the car industry and now they are back to do it again. The interior on the XJR is done so well that I almost wouldn’t want to sit in it. The power package is very competitive with all of the other models in its class. The car is said to produce 550 hp and 502 ft-lb of torque. This lets the owner have the best of both worlds. One moment he can have a beautiful luxury sedan that cruises down the open highway, but when he sees some high school kid in a sporty American coupe, he can show them what real power is. This car will not only compete in its class but possibly out shine some of the old dogs with its new looks inside and out.
