Here’s some good news for Ferrari enthusiasts. The Italian manufacturer will be producing additional LaFerraris to top off the 499 already built. But don’t get too excited; according to an Apr. 14 article from Drive.com.au, Ferrari has confirmed that it will be a set of track-oriented LaFerrari XXs that will be lighter and recalibrated for racing. In other words, these additional LaFerrari’s will not be street legal.
“Now we are working on the new hypercar for the circuit, the LaFerrari XX,” said Antonello Coletta, head of Ferrari’s Sporting Activity Department, in the same Drive.com.au article.
“I hope that the new car will arrive on the circuit in January or February of next year.” – Antonello Colleta
Ferrari has already been recognized as the world’s most powerful brand because of their care and the great service provided to their loyal customers. However this will certainly push their customer satisfaction levels over the top, as they will allow LaFerrari owners to come test drive the XX racecar and provide feedback to Ferrari’s engineers. While the car will be lighter and re-engineered, power will stay the same.

“It will be more or less the same [power] but it will be completely different the handling, because it’s normal that the handling is different for the circuit and the road,” Coletta said in the same article. “The power is a lot; enough! It is very hard to improve the power. The difference will be the slick tyres, the aerodynamics, the electronics, the suspension, the shock absorbers.”
Seeing such an immaculate hypercar brought to new levels is marvelous and will have us closely watching for the racecar in future racing challenges. For now we will just sit and dream.
