One of the year’s most significant races took place last week. The WEC’s 6 hours of Spa was intense, with Ford’s GT program and team Chevrolet Racing flying the Stars and Stripes. Audi came from back in the field in the R18 E-tron to take home the victory, but the track saw fit to destroy one of the two Ford GTs which allowed Porsche to finish second. The track is known for intense racing, but if Belgium isn’t on your bucket list, allow us to take you on a ride for one lap in a new Ferrari F12tdf.
It could be known as a Tour de Force, but this F12tdf is one of only 799 examples built to pay tribute to the Tour de France. Instead of the normal F12’s 730 hp, listen to 769 angry horses power this masterpiece from Maranello around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. An F1 dual-clutch transmission offers 6% shorter ratios than the base model, which help to keep the high revving V12 in its powerband. Since we probably won’t get seat time in such a rare model, turn up the volume and enjoy.
