Atlanta’s Caffeine & Exotics car show finished up its final event of 2015 with a huge turnout of both exotic cars and car fans the morning of Sunday, Nov. 16. The event is held monthly at Simon’s Lenox Square Mall in the affluent Buckhead section of the city, from February through November.
“It was great to finish our first season on such a high note with so many amazing cars and fans turning out despite the chilly temperatures,” said Bruce Piefke, founder of Caffeine & Exotics.
The event will take a couple of months off to avoid the cold weather, and is set to return in 2015 at Lenox Square in February. “We have made a commitment to our generous exotic car owners and fans to continue our efforts to make every event better and more engaging than the previous one. I am proud that we have set the bar higher each event and we will continue to be creative in ways not seen at most car shows,” said Piefke.
During this most recent event, the new BMW i8 was featured on the red carpet. They are also planning to feature the new Porsche 918 Spyder when C&E returns in the early spring. Piefke also stated that they are working with local luxury hotels to provide those who attend the event special rates, as there were hundreds of fans from all over the East Coast that showed up for Sunday’s event.
When asked which were his favorite cars in the show this month, Dani Freeman of Butler Tires and Wheels, a founding sponsor of the event, said, “It’s tough picking just five, but I would have to go with the 2015 Porsche GT3, McLaren 650s, Rolls Royce Wraith, Mercedes S550 Coupe, Porsche Carrera GT and it’s hard to leave off the Ferrari 458 Speciale – of which there were two at the show!”
Piefke added, “The five Audi R8s from Jim Ellis Audi all lined up in a row were quite the sight, too. We referred to that as the new R40”.
R8 owner Danny Goode said, “I have not missed a single event since it started in July. It’s just a lot of fun and I love talking to all of the kids who come out with their parents for the chance to see these amazing cars up close. These guys know what they are doing when it comes to creating not just a car show but a great event that appeals to a much bigger audience than just car enthusiasts. Every owner that participates, myself included, are looking forward to the first event of 2015 next spring.”
