With a simple Instagram post, Dwayne Johnson announced last week that he’d be producing a new show for Fox. “Boost Unit”, the potential series with a heavy focus on cars, centers around the real-life Auto Theft Task Force in Los Angeles, California. The show promises everything from car thefts to car-bombs, chases, narcotics-trafficking and much more. This warehouse-based, crime-fighting unit makes their headquarters in a warehouse. The team drives their own cars and all wear plainclothes in what promises to be a fast-paced, timely new show.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne Johnson says:
“We’re bringing to life the high-stakes street pursuits and grueling work of this very specialized elite task force and we’re excited to partner with Imperative Entertainment to combine an epic mix of gripping action and sophisticated storytelling.”
