The Sun Valley Road Rally is an annual event where a strip of Highway 75 in Idaho is transformed into a “No Speed Limit” zone. The event started in 2009 and has since grown more and more popular with each passing year.
This year saw the presence of four Bugatti Veyrons, including a Blanc Noir and Grand Sport Vitesse. The cars were supplied by Bugatti Beverly Hills, and were able to take a top speed run down the scenic highway.
Official Bugatti driver Butch Leitzinger was able to reach a top speed of 230.2 mph down the road. Also, Bugatti auctioned off a chance to sit passenger with Leitzinger. The winner chipped in $1,500 and hit 227.6 mph in the passenger seat. How many people can say that have been that fast in a car?
Of course, this event is all for the sake of charity with donations benefiting the Blaine County Community Drug Coalition. Be sure to visit their website for more information and get ready for next year’s rally!
