BMW has officially announced the second generation of the BMW ALPINA B7. The ALPINA B7 is a high-performance luxury sedan, and by high-performance, we mean super high-performance. It features an enhanced in-line with updates to the 2013 BMW 7 Series Sedans. These enhancements include more power, performance and efficiency. The 2013 ALPINA B7 has 40 more horsepower and 22 lb-ft more torque. The performance upgrade is thanks to BMW’s Valvetronic throttle-less intake technologoy and a new ALPINA 8-speed high performance transmission. With upgraded power and performance, the 2013 ALPINA B7 can hit a top speed of 194 mph, which is substantially higher than its previous top speed of 175 mph. There will be 4 variants of the BMW ALPINA B7 which include a Standard Wheelbase, Long Wheelbase, sDrive, and xDrive. Each of these will have over 30 new parts that are meant to improve aerodynamics and cooling. As an option, you can also have full LED headlights, Bang & Olufsen Surround Sound System, new exterior colors and new interior upholstery choices. The 2013 BMW ALPINA B7 will be available as a special order with limited production. It will make its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. Pricing will start at $127,600 for the Standard Wheelbase, $130,000 for the Standard Wheelbase with xDrive, $131,500 for the Long Wheelbase, and $134,500 for the Long Wheelbase with xDrive.
